Every now and then, I have a great idea for a birthday party theme, ladies night or family fun night. I mentally note how fun it would be to plan and host it, then I get distracted by day-to-day life. And kid themes have a shelf life! As my kid gets older, some fun ideas I’ve brainstormed become outdated and need to be upgraded for his now non-toddler friendships… particularly as he begins to have a mind of his own with his own likes and ideas around his birthdays or his time with friends.
I decided it may be fun to make a theme bucket list for the next year. Since 2020 is semi-cancelled by COVID19, I may have to give myself more than the usual annual year to check some of these fun themes off the list…
- Adult tea party
- Zombie prom (reloaded)*
- Charcuterie party
- Carnival
- Ice cream party
- Gingerbread competition (reloaded)*
- Glow party
- A theme party for less than $50 (because why not)
- A video game party
- Hocus Pocus movie night (reloaded)*
I’ll be scanning the web to see if I want to add anything else to this list. It looks fun to work through… and imagine the pictures!
*Reloaded themes are ones I’ve done before to some degree but would love to do again with more flare and more fun.
